Welcome to Jamie Snowden Racing

Folly House is a historic, charming and picturesque yard in Lambourn. Cheltenham Gold Cup winners have been produced from the yard, and Jamie has been in situ since 2011. The yard has expanded to house over 50 horses, with immediate access to the wonderful Lambourn Gallops which are the finest gallops in the country.  Jamie has trained over 450 winners and is lucky enough to have already trained two Cheltenham Festival winners, numerous Graded and Listed contests, the prestigious Coral (Hennessy) Gold Cup, and Paddy Power Gold Cup.

Another four winners in the last week of the season meant we finished the season as strongly as we started it, and the 2024-25 season was another record-breaking season for the team here at Folly House.  We finished the season in 16th spot in the trainer’s championship, with 62 winners, and a brilliant £801,776 in win and place prize money.  This was attained with an incredible 21% win strike rate, 58% of our runners were in the top four, and 47% of all of our runners won.  The horses have held their form from start to finish, with the summer team holding their own but highlights this winter include Hollygrove Cha Cha winning us another Grade 2 Jane Seymour at Sandown; Laurens Bay winning the valuable Grade 3 EBF Final; and ultimately, it was incredible to win our first Grade 1 at the Grand National meeting at Aintree as Julius Des Pictons won the Sefton Novice Hurdle.   We keep beating our previous best prize money total and setting ourselves a higher bar to aim for each season.  I am immensely proud of the whole team here at Folly House, the wonderful horses, and all the support we receive from everyone associated with us.

Our Facilities

What our clients are saying

Jamie has an ability to get the best out of each horse that he trains, but just an importantly makes being involved in racehorse ownership great fun. Jamie and his team are always welcoming and go out of their way to spend time with you and ensure that everyone has a great time, whether visiting the stables or at the racecourse. I would strongly recommend Jamie to anyone looking for an outstanding trainer.

Dan Abraham - Chairman of the Racehorse Syndicates Association & Syndicate Manager with Foxtrot Racing.

Having a horse with Jamie and his team at Folly House has been a fantastic experience. He really understands syndicates and was incredibly helpful throughout the process of SAAL Racing securing our first National Hunt horse. Jamie treats you the same if you're a sole owner or part of a large syndicate and regular stable visits are encouraged. Following the success of Shantewe we've now added a second horse to the yard with hopefully more to come.

Matt Pryce, of SAAL Racing.

I have had horses in training with Jamie since he first had a licence, and it has been great fun with plenty of success along the way. We are treated as well as the horses, and Jamie's communication with us has been second to none.

Karen Gunn, owner of Adrrastos.

It must have been 25 years ago that I started “investing” in horses. The last few years with you have been the best!

Andrew Scholefield, part owner of Scorpion Sid and Redbridge Gold.
